Are you afraid of giving birth? Is your back already aching — and are you wondering what it will be like as your baby grows? Pregnancy exercise is not fitness and not a weight-loss workout. It is medically sound preparation for birth, where every exercise is adapted to your trimester and how you feel.
What are the benefits of therapeutic exercise?
- Strengthening your back muscles — less pain as your bump grows heavier;
- learning to breathe correctly — your main helper during birth;
- improving posture and stabilising the pelvis;
- preparing the chest and diaphragm for the extra breathing load.
Classes are led by a health and exercise specialist experienced in working with pregnant women — individually or in small groups, always after a medical check.
How is pregnancy yoga different?
Yoga is not about sporting achievements — it is about connecting with your body and your baby. It releases tension in your back, improves circulation and the oxygen supply to your baby, teaches breathing techniques and calms the mind. Every pose is safe and adapted just for you. If exercise is "work with the body", yoga also works with your emotions and mood.
When can you start?
We recommend starting exercise from week 12 of pregnancy (yoga from week 13) and continuing right up to birth, adjusting the intensity. After birth, we offer gentle postnatal exercise together with your baby.
Prices: group session — €25, individual — €35–45. At your first visit, the specialist will assess your condition and recommend the most suitable format.
